To identify by name the world’s major drug traffickers, Freemantle had the co-operation that included the President Reagen’s White house, the FBI, the U.S Drug Enforcement Administration, the U.S Customs Service, the U.S Coast Guard, British and Irish Police, Customs forces and drug monitoring organisations. To investigate the full extent of the drug epidemic, Freemantle travelled over 15,000 miles- frequently under armed guard- to focus on major drug traffickers, naming names of kingpins not only in Latin America and Asia but also in the United States. The result is a hard-hitting and compelling account of the world’s deadliest industry, an illegal business far bigger and richer than any of the biggest and richest multi-national corporations.
